For each month that a Consultant works under contract for Techni-Data Services as a W-2 wage earner and classifies as
full-time (average of 30 hours per week), they are provided an allowance that can be used for Health Benefits. This allowance is currently set at $276.04 per employee. This money can be used towards any of the various types of insurance options that are offered by the Plan in which we participate.
FAQ:
- What if I have insurance from my spouse?
- You would have the option to select other types of coverage from our Plan that are not offered under
you spouse’s plan.
- What if I elect coverage from the Plan that exceeds my allowance?
- You could elect to reduce your gross wages and supplement your health account (allowance) by pre-tax monies,
or you can simply write a check to the Plan (after-tax).
- What if I don’t use all of the allowance?
- If you don’t use the entire amount of the allowance it will be set aside for your use at a later time
- only for health related benefits.
- Can I use the money for more than Health Insurance?
- The Plan requires that you have some sort of Health Insurance. Once you’ve satisfied this requirement,
you can use the money for reimbursement of virtually any health related expense. Some of the most common are:
doctor visit co-pays, deductibles, prescription co-pays, etc.
- Do you have coverage in my state?
- The Plan offers Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability in every state.
- Do you provide Domestic Partner Benefits?
- Yes, TDS’ Plan offers opposite or same sex Domestic Partner Benefits.
